Introduction

Meribah, and by implication Smart Development Concepts (SDC), is responsible for the Smart Societal Development Program. Societal development is about improving the well-being of every individual in society, so they can reach their full potential. SDC will deploy the program from the ground upwards. SDC comprises a comprehensive range of knowledgeable specialists, specialized services, and specialized service providers, to provide expert knowledge and sound advice to the various Golden Nation Councils (GNC).

General

1. SDC works as a foundational cluster company and specialist service provider, responsible for the Meribah Smart Societal Development Strategy.

2. To provide for a cohesive and fully streamlined effort (with governments, local governments, and regional neighbors), SDC will research and provide expert knowledge and strategies on National Development Plans, Regional Development Plans and Future Planning Scenarios.  

3. SDC provides societal development plans, to include post-Covid Restoration, Economic Recovery, Societal Well-being, Education and Training Drive, Health and Fitness Drive, Food Security Drive, Business Development (SMME), Entrepreneurial Development, and Infrastructure Development Requirements.  

4. SDC establishes alliances with and/or partner with key technology-, knowledge-, systems-, and intelligence providers – The Centre for Applied Management and Behavioral Sciences, Quantec EasyData (RSA), the Economic Intelligence Unit (RSA), GAPP Urban Planners and Designers, IFS (Enterprise Resource Planning), and the Centre for Sustainable Development (University of Stellenbosch).

5. To remain future orientated and human centric, the SDC identifies unique and futuristic products, methodology or technology, evaluate these for efficiency and effectiveness, and promote such technology, experts, or providers, to further the process of providing sustainable existence, or access to unique products or services for restoration initiatives and projects.

6.  As SDC will ultimately accept responsibility for any project or undertaking it is entrusted with, all service providers or specialists promoted to SDC, will be compliance tested, and audited for work proficiency, honesty, and efficiency, before accepting their status.  

 

Responsibility and Scope of Operations

1.    SDC is specifically tasked with the Smart Societal Development Program - from the ground level upwards (especially practical implementation), using state-of-the-art-methodology, smart intelligence, smart economic intelligence, smart support systems, knowledge leverage providers, change management programs, learnerships, alliance management, entrepreneurial development, youth development, optimal education, community safety and security programs, food security programs, and specialist service providers.

2.    Development responsibilities will include:
        a.  RME and PESTEL evaluations and interpretations
        b.  Nations/Monarchies/Kingdoms – to include smart cities, smart villages, smart outreach programs, smart infrastructure, smart development support systems.
        c.  Food-4-the-World Program - Smart food production on a local (work provision) and international level, using state-of-the-art and high-tech production/processing systems, a food-production parenting system, and allow for food availability all the way down to individual participation in informal settlements.
       d.  Smart support systems (small business financial support, supporting hubs, sustainable transportation, smart ICT/AI, water/energy/waste control systems) and will provide for centers-of-excellence for testing/supporting systems/ methodology/ lifestyles, to become the footprint for further outreach and facilitation.
