Service providers start off as part of the Division for Shared Business Services. They cover a multi-disciplinary field and render their services to projects wherever their support is required at a specific time.
The Division for Shared Business Services prevents the duplication of in-house business functions required by every business. These services are rendered on a fractional fee basis to all the projects funded by the SRP. It means, projects only pay for direct services received, thus avoiding the cost of maintaining expensive specialists which are conventionally needed and, therefore, duplicated in all projects.
This structure frees the project decision makers to focus on what they have been trained to do and to fulfil the passions driving them and not to be distracted by issues outside their scope. These “side-issues” (such as financial and Huan resources management) are critically important for the success of any project and often the reason for project failure.
The Shared Services Model takes care of all the important business functions which are not part of the narrow focus (and training) of the project's drivers.
Centralized Business Services creates a win-win scenario.
